A Walk Through a New Community on the Lafayette River
Thursday, April 23rd, 2020
10:00 am – 5:00 pm
On the banks of the Lafayette River, Talbot Hall is a new community that was originally part of a Federal era plantation with ties to the antebellum heritage of southeastern Virginia. Home to the Talbot family for 150 years, the land was gifted to the Episcopal Diocese, then sold to a local developer in 2015. Today, it represents a careful blend of Norfolk’s past and its future. This walking tour features six private homes showcasing both modern and traditional architecture. Visitors will enjoy the neighborhood’s quiet streets full of live oaks and views of the river.
